After graduating with an accountancy degree, entering the finance industry seemed like the natural choice. I decided to join the Monetary Authority of Singapore, a decision I never regretted as I was exposed to tremendous insights as well as the opportunity to interact with senior bank management during my 4-year stint as a banking regulator.

However, when my wife and I first started our own home search, we had very little knowledge of the property market, and were faced with so many questions and uncertainties! Should we go for a BTO, resale HDB, EC or private condo? What are the pros and cons? How do we identify the good buys in the market? We were lost. And the more I researched, the more confused I got because there were so many conflicting opinions on the internet and from property agents whom we met. It was then I told my wife that I have to take the real estate course, so that we can understand the whole situation better and make a more informed decision for ourselves. And the rest was history.
